Toilet tale: Bhind woman says she would prefer divorce over open defecation
BHOPAL: In yet another toilet-tale, a newly-wed woman in a village of Bhind district refused to go to her in-laws place as there is no toilet. Five months after the marriage, the woman continues to live with her parents . She has lived with her husband and in-laws only for 3 days.
Jyoti, 25, said, "I will prefer divorce over defecating in open.”
She lives with her parents in Phoop, a small village about 35 km away from Mehgaon tehesil town where her husband lives with his parents. All the family members belong to lower income group . Her husband is unemployed while her father-in-law works as a labourer.
Every house should have toilet Open defecation by the women is very embarassing and a curse for them
Women can only change this bad practice. If she refuse, then men would borrow or beg or steal to build the toilets
